Mimosa Strain Description

Mimosa is a sativa dominant hybrid that is a cross between Purple Punch and Clementine. Mimosa was made famous by Symbiotic Genetics. Mimosa is also sometimes referred to as the strain, Purple Mimosa. Mimosa is famous for its very high THC content, testing between 19-27% THC. Mimosa won 2nd place at the 2018 High Times Cannabis Cup in Santa Rosa.

Aroma and Taste for Mimosa Strain

Mimosa has a strong citrus and fruity aroma with dank earthy notes. You can pick up tropical fruits and citrus notes in the aroma and the flavor of this strain. When you break up the buds the aroma of orange, and lemon get more intense, this is accompanied by a strong sour aroma that is intoxicatingly delicious. This is due in part to a blend of terpenes like myrcene and limonene. When smoked the flavors of citrus, earthiness and light notes of pine are most prominent.

Mimosa Strain Effects

At first hit you can feel an instant uplift in mood. Your outlook on the day gets a bit brighter as you feel a wave of energy and motivation. This is accompanied by a relaxed feeling of focus. You may find yourself finishing cleaning the house, or intensely focused on finishing something. Your mind feels awash in creative ideas, which makes this a great strain for people in music and art. The light feeling of relaxation becomes a very light body buzz. This helps to soothe any aches or pains you may be feeling. This is also helpful in relaxing your mind from any stress or anxiety you may be feeling.

It is an euphoric and uplifting strain for all day use for an experienced stoner. It gives a clear, energetic high, allowing you to focus on your daily tasks. However, a beginner might approach this high THC strain with caution, as it packs a serious punch. It is a bit like having a mimosa at brunch, you feel relaxed, chatty and happy. As the day goes on the feeling of relaxation continues to grow. This makes Mimosa great for stress and anxiety, just like its parent, Purple Punch.
